Join KSLA in a state-wide book study of Richard Gentry's new book, Brain Words: How the Science of Reading Informs Teaching. Together with psychologist, Gene Ouellette, teachers will "learn how children's brains develop as they become readers and discover ways [they] can take concrete steps to promote this critical development passage."

This Book Discussion is for Members Only.

Teachers will read the book, two chapter per week, and post in an online blog their thoughts and comments to each other.

Aileen Hower, past president of KSLA, will facilitate this online discussion. 8 hours of Act 48 credit will be awarded for completing the book and postings.

The book study will begin on the week of July 15 and end the week of August 5.

You must be a KSLA member in order to participate.
